Week in Utah!

I feel like I've been very absent from my blog but it's probably because I don't have my own computer anymore...Bryan takes his to work and I have to share my mom's, which means I don't get much of a chance! Plus last week we went down to Utah and I didn't even get close to a computer! But it was WAY fun though! My friend Paola was getting married on the 18th and we were able to meet with friends from Brazil I hadn't seen in years! Of course we managed to do lots of shopping while we there, despite of the bad weather in Park City that made it very scary to drive back home, specially with an inexperienced driver such as my dad! On our way back to Idaho I had to drive half the way because he was scaring me! But we made it back and now we are in the middle of this horrible snow storm... I don't even want to leave the house! I wish I would've been smarter and finished all my christmas shopping ahead of time! A lesson for next year I guess! But I'm not going to translate now cuz I'm out of time and my mom is kicking me out of here!MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!

I'm a graduate!

I can't believe this day finally arrived! After 4 years of hard work...the reward! And I graduated Magna Cum Laude, top 5 percent of the graduating class! It was an amazing day! I'm so glad my parents were able to make it! They worked so hard so that I could be there that I don't even know how to thank them enough for everything! President Uchtdorf was there and his words were very inspiring! I was very impressed with all the formality and specially the spirit that I felt during the whole thing! The only thing that didn't make the day perfect is that Bryan couldn't be there...I really wish he could've made it.

We, too, are going private!

Since I started our blog, Bryan's been wanting me to go private because we could see with mix map people checking our blogs from all over the world, but I just never did it because I wanted all my friends and family that don't have a blog to be able to check it out. After seeing the link that Rakae posted on her blog he got me convinced to do it. So if you want to keep checking out our blog, please leave us your e-mail and we'll add you to our list, even if you don't have a blog!

Here is the link for those of you who want to check it out, I just got it from her blog (I hope it's ok!) http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=4699330

And here are some pics we took yesterday of her smiling, on campus, and our matching boots! Enjoy!

E aki vao umas fotos tiradas ontem dela sorrindo, nos no campus, e nossas botas combinando!

Cooing and bath time

YEY! I was finally able to upload a video here! I just wanted to show you guys how my little girl is doing... when she's fed, with her diaper clean, and without gas bubbles, she is like this, all happy and talkative! I had to do a really short video because I can't upload anything bigger than this, but it's still cute to watch! The second video is of her bath time, which she absolutely loves!

Eba!

Chubby Cheeks!

So from now on I'm going to try really hard to write both in English and Portuguese since we now have friends from here and from Brazil that check out our blog. This will probably mean that I won't write as much, unless I'm really inspired! But after trying to download some videos that didn't work, here is a picture of Tiffany after her daily exercise. Every night before her bath we play with her on the floor and on that ball and she LOVES it. Look how she's trying to stand up on this picture...she's getting so long that while I'm burping her she keeps her legs straight up like that on my lap. And look at those chubby legs!!

E o q sao essas perninhas grossas?!

Of course I love them all, she just makes my day everyday!

Tiffany's first trip

So again I've been absent from my blog...I look at it everyday but everytime I try to update it, Tiffany is hungry again, fussy, or I'm just too tired to actually post anything. But this weekend we took her to Bear Lake for the first time and it was a lot of fun! It was the first time I stayed with her by myself for longer than an hour since Bryan went hunting a lot and my mom stayed in Rexburg. It wasn't bad at all, except for the fact that I could never get ready until it was almost afternoon.
The second day we were there I went over to Patty's and she set up a "studio" in her kitchen to take pictures of her twins so I went ahead and got Tiffany ready for some shots as well. Patty actually took these first two and did the editing...I love it!

This one was just off my camera and I thought it turned out pretty cute too. She actually behaved pretty well for the camera...but it's so hard to get good shots of newborns...she always ends up making funny faces.
Here is a 5 generation picture with bryan's family. She only has one great-great grandma so it was a very special picture.

Her daddy loves to cuddle with her any chance he gets. I know everybody tells me that newborns can't be spoiled by being held too much, but lately she's having a harder time going to sleep on her own or staying asleep once we put her down.

For the first time in months I was up for some adventure. Lance and Jamie watched Tiffany while Bryan and I went for a ride in their new toy. It was SO much fun! We didn't dare go very far because of the baby, but it was sure fun to go out and do something just the two of us again!

TIffany is already growing!

First Doctor appointment and the she's alredy gained some weight! She is doing SO good with breastfeeding and I was pround to hear she is so healthy!
She looks so little in her car seat, but she loves car rides...falls asleep right away!
After wearing dad out at night, she gave him some rest during the day! There was one night she only woke up once, it was wonderful, but most nights she is pretty regular with 2 1/2 to 3 hours break between feedings, so I've been doing mostly the night shift so Bryan can get some rest and work during the day. I get pretty exhausted but I get to rest a little more during the day. But here's a plus: I went to the doctor today and I'm almost back to my pre-pregnancy weight! I've been feeling SO much better and I'm moving around almost normally! All I can say is despite the sleepless nights, life is wonderful right now!

Finally some updates!

I know, I know...I'm way overdue updating this blog. I've been trying to do it everyday but the day goes by and I never get a chance to do it. I remember when I didn't have anything to do but wait for my little girl to arrive, it seemed like forever! Now she's here and I'm the happiest and busiest mom ever!
So I'm just going to briefly tell the whole story for those that don't know! I scheduled to be induced on September 30 so that morning I went in the hospital and at about 8:30 they broke my water and got me started on Pitosin. At about noon my contractions were unberable so the midwife allowed me to get the epidural when I was only dilated to a 4. Life became MUCH better after that. I didn't feel anything from the epidural and it started working right away! I got to sleep for the rest of the time and rested like I hadn't done in months. I was SO happy and relaxed. At around 5:3pm I was completely dilated and 100% effaced, it was time to push! I started pushing at 5:50 and 1 hour later I stopped making any progress. The baby's head was stuck and I couldn't get her down any further because her head was turned the wrong way. I was getting pretty exhausted then and the midwife decided to call the Doctor to see if he would want to try the vaccum or go for a c-section. He decided to go with the vaccum. By then I was extremely exhausted and falling asleep between contractions, I just wanted it to end! When he started with the vaccum I had already been pushing for almost 2 hours and about 15 minutes later Tiffany was born. It was 8:04 pm and I cannot explain the feeling I had when they gave her to me. I was scared and happy all at the same time and after so much hard work all I could do was cry! I didn't get to hold her very long because she had some fluid in her lungs and was having a little bit of a hard time breathing. But they took good care of her and she was completely fine! The sad thing was the cuts in her head from the vaccum, but she's such a strong little girl! I guess those who have had a baby knows what all comes after, including all the stiching up (I got some pretty bad tear and I'm still recuperating!) But I'm just really glad everything turned out ok and I was able to have a normal labor, it would've probably been much worse with a c-section!
But now we've been home since Thursday and my daily routine completely changed! She's been feeding really well and sleeping a lot (during the day! At night it's a totally different story!).
Here are some pictures to make up for the time I didn't post.
I couldn't help but cry when I saw this precious little gift that Heavenly Father gave to us.
Her daddy is the best! He was there with me the whole time giving me all the support I needed. I know I couldn't have done it without him! I was also really proud that he held up pretty good and even cut the umbilical cord! He is always around for her every need and is SO patient and loving. She's definetly daddy's little girl!
Being a mom is a feeling I can't quite describe. I've been having so much pain and so many changes happening to me but everything goes away when I see her pretty eyes looking at me and needing me!
Now we're a family! We love her so much already and our love for each other has also gotten to a whole different level!
Her first diaper change at home! It was quite stinky, but it was the first of many!

Her first day at home and already being treated like a little doll with all the cute outfits ger great-aunt Meri gave her! And look how little she looks in her crib! She's changing everyday and I love watching her grow!

But that's it for now! I'm sure we'll have lots and lots of pictures of her to post here, I just hope I get more used to my schedule to have more time to post! Again, thanks to all of you who have been with us on this journey.

Tiffany is here!

Just a quick post for now...Tiffany was born at 8:04 pm, she weighed 7 lbs 2 ozs. and is 19.25" long. It was a pretty tough day for Audrey so she's getting some sleep but i'm sure she will post pictures and tell the complete story tomorrow. All is well!

41 weeks...

I'm just posting for those that have been wondering if I had the baby yet and just haven't said anything...but NO, I'm still pregnant! I've been having a lot of contractions more during the night but obviously is never the real thing because I eventually fall asleep and wake up the next day the same! My days can pretty much be resumed in one word: miserable! But I'm holding on because I know Tiffany is still doing good. If nothing happens until tomorrow, I've scheduled to be induced Tuesday morning because I don't feel like I should keep going any longer! So here is what's going on so far...at least I know for sure there's only another day or two before this is all over and I'll have my little girl with me! It's not easy to go over, I really hadn't planned for her being so past her due date, so I feel pretty frustrated sometimes, but I've been having a lot of support from Bryan and from my mom, I definetly couldn't do it without either one of them, I'm so blessed to have them with me all the time caring for my needs!

40 weeks...and still counting!

I know everybody is tired of looking at my belly and we all want to see a picture of what's been inside this belly for the past 40 weeks...well...it won't be today! We looked at the blog counter thing on the right and saw the 0 weeks 0 days to go and now we're wondering if it's going to count -1 and so forth! I have been having some contractions throughout the day but nothing regular or progressively worse. And to make things better I'm not going to the doctor until Wednesday so hopefully everything will be ok until then! Because I knew she wasn't gonna come today I had Bryan take me out for lunch and for a drive...we went all the way to IF just to eat at Olive Garder since we won't be going there for a little while! But I just thought I would keep everybody updated...

Pictures

I've been wanting to take some more professional pictures for a while and this week I went to the hair salon to get some hair conditioning done and decided to get my hair done. I got home and called my brother who is turning into quite the photographer to take some pictures of us! Here are some of my favorites!! He did an excellent job. There's tons, so I'll try and put as many as I can!

And I'm still pregnant! I haven't even been having a lot of contractions or anything, but maybe things will change soon! I'll keep updating! 2 more days to go!

39 weeks!

So here are just the updates as of this week...I have been a lot slower and it's getting harder to move around, so I've been doing a lot of crochet with the burp cloths my mom made out of cloth diapers. It's been fun and very relaxing, but I'm almost done with those! I also went to the doctor again today and finally there was some progress! I'm dilated to a 2 and about 80% effaced! That doesn't really mean much since I could be like that for another week or two, but it's definetly a start! I'll try and keep the blog updated and see what happens! Isabelle got a little chair for herself! She's such an adorable little girl! Can't wait to have mine!
This is the most updated picture of my belly, I took it Sunday at my brother's B-Day party. We were wondering if Tiffany would come the same day of his birthday, but I don't really think she's coming before her due date...she seems pretty comfortable in there! In the picture is my sister-in-law, she's due next month, so this is probably our last picture with the big bellies...
So here is my question, does it really help to walk a lot during the last days? I hear that a lot, but I don't really know if it helps...did anybody try that or something else to speed things up?
Hopefully my next post will be with the good news...until then, happy contraction time to me!
Before I forget, I just wanted to thank everybody for their support and good wishes, I really appreciate all of you!

Almost there...

So I'm almost at 38 weeks (or should I say still?) and I feel like things slowed down a lot. My energy level decreased so much that naps are becoming a must, and walking is only if necessary. Ok, I still do a lot and move around a lot, but I get tired way too fast. My belly feels sooo heavy now and no position is comfortable... I bet the reason for us to feel so uncomfortable at the end is to welcome even more the delivery day and not care about contractions and pain as much, you just want to get the baby out!! On the good side though, we finally have everything ready for Tiffany! The car seat and stroller arrived yesterday and that was the last thing. Her room is completely done (I'm still adding a few decorations here and there, but that will probably never end!) and even her hospital bag is packed and ready to go! I started to pack my bag as well, so that whenever she decides to make the big entrance, we will be prepared! She better wait at least until next week because her daddy went to Bear Lake in an attempt to hunt a little before she comes. In the mean time we're just here making more burp cloths, we're gonna try and make a curtain, and a few other things just so time will go by faster! But here are a few pictures of the last few days...
This was last week after my mom arrived...we were had just gone to a Dr. appointment!
She arrived and already started to help out. She washed AND iron all the baby's clothes, has been cleaning my house since I can't move around much and has been cooking lots of delicious food that I've been craving for the longest time! Yey for grandmas!!!
After we got another piece of furniture for the room we had to rearrange everything! The room looks much smaller now but I think it's just perfect! The bassinet is going to be in our room when she arrives so we can be close to her during the many times she will wake up in the middle of the night!
Here is the travel system we got! I originally wanted a brown and blue one but I LOVE this one. It's pretty neutral for the next babies and still will look great for a girl!
