Last week we finally went to the pool again. I was worried because last time I went, it was freezing cold once I got out of the water, but this time it was actually really nice. Tiffany was so excited as soon as she saw the water and had a great time. It wasn't as fun for me because of my big belly, so I'm thinking that Bryan is going to have to take her after a while, or at least go with us for her to have more fun. We ended up not going this week because I got soooo sick with a cold, but hopefully we will go again next week.

Aqui vai a receita (here is the recipe):
Primeira camada (first layer)
Cortar os morangos no meio e colocar com a metade cortada pra baixo num pirex (cut the strawberries in half and layered them on a container.
Segunda camada (second layer)
Brigadeiro branco: 1 lata de leite condensado e 1 colher de sopa de margarina. Leve ao forno ate soltar do fundo da panela. Esfrie e coloque em cima dos morangos. (1 can of sweetened condensed milk and 1 tablespoon of margarine. Cook them mixing constantly until it starts detaching from the bottom of the pan. Let it cool and pour it over the strawberries.
Terceira camada (third layer)
Derreter 200 g de chocolate ao leite (eu usei chocolate chips) em banho maria. Tire do fogo e adicione o creme de leite. Misture bem e coloque em cima do brigadeiro branco. (Melt 200 g of milk chocolate- I used chocolate chips, and place it in a container and then in a pan with hot water- so it doesn't burn the chocolate, just melts it. After it melts, remove from the stove and add creme de leite-found in the Hispanic aisle, mix it well and pour it over the brigadeiro branco.
Leve a geladeira. Put it in the fridge.

I love traditions!
This is how our tradition started...After we got married we went to Brazil where one of my uncles gave us a dinner at this really nice and delicious Fondue restaurant as our wedding gift. We absolutely loved it, and it was Bryan's first time eating fondue. After we got home, for our first Valentine's Day we borrowed my brother's fondue pan and made it at home. I think we did that for another year, then we just had the chocolate fondue the next and didn't have it at all last year.
I didn't want our tradition to die, so this year I found a good deal on an electric pan (which I like much better than having to monitor the fire all the time!) and bought it. It was the perfect evening. We took everything to the living room so we could watch a movie while we ate. The smell in the house is my very least favorite part...that's probably why we only make it for Valentine's but it was worth it.
After Tiffany went to sleep, we made the chocolate fondue to finish off the evening on a more romantic note!

Snow Days
We've completed Tiffany's snow outfit a long time ago but never took her out to enjoy the snow. Yesterday Bryan got home from work and the weather was warmer than it had been in days, so we decided to take her out. She didn't want to get dressed or anything at first, but I knew that once she was out, she would have fun. And can you tell???? She freaked out a little on her first ride down the hill, but after that, she had the time of her life! Bryan had to make quite a few trips up the little hill but they both had a lot of fun! I put the video on Facebook, but I'll try to upload it here as well. I hope we get more good days like this when daddy is home so she can have more time playing outside in the snow.

It's a boy!
I know everybody already knows it's a boy, but here are a couple of pictures! My babies seem to be very shy from the womb. With Tiffany I couldn't even get a 3D image because there wasn't enough fluid around her head to get a good shot, and this time, our baby boy decided to turn towards my back right when the doctor changed the image to 3D. And when she finally got a good view of him, he had his hand covering his whole face! So this 2D picture is the best one we have.
The ultrasound was still so much fun! I enjoyed it this time around because I was much less anxious and the entire time I just had this feeling that it was my baby boy, so when we finally got to see the sex of baby, it was more of a confirmation than a surprise. I don't know what Bryan really thought it was, but I guess I had told him so many times that it was going to be a boy, that he wasn't surprised either. Tiffany didn't get at all that we were looking at the baby (the images didn't really look like the babies she is used to seeing, I'm sure) but it was a fun family time.
Even though I had this feeling that it was going to be a boy for the longest time, after the ultrasound it really started to sink in. Boys are so different that we felt like first time parents, not knowing what to expect. Plus now I have to get all new clothes, bedding, and all. It will be fun though, I'm excited for the change and the new joys that only a boy can bring. And Tiffany already has lots of experience playing with her cousins, so she will have fun too.
The hardest part will be to decide on a name. Boys names are so hard for us, especially because it has to sound good in English and Portuguese and we don't agree on very many. So it will take a while before we come up with something we like. Until then, he is our baby boy!
