Tiffany's milestones...

It's been two weeks now that we introduced the baby cereal to Tiffany and she LOVES it! At first she made the funniest faced of disgust, but now she likes it a lot. Her preference is Oatmeal cereal. I gave her some carrots and she hated it, and this morning I tried bananas, but she only ate it mix with the cereal. She's making great progress though! And since we introduced solids and added a little more to her daily milk supply, she started sleeping through the night (between 10-12h). It's been WONDERFUL! I can't even tell you how nice it is to sleep all night. She's been a much happier baby too which makes us all happier too!

Jah fazem duas semanas desde que começamos a dar papinha pra Tiffany. No comeco ela fazia umas caretas mto engraçadas, mas agora ela ADORA! Ela já experimentou cenoura, mas não gostou, e hoje de manhã eu dei banana amassada mas ela só comeu misturado com a papinha! E desde q ela começou a comer mais durante o dia ela começou a dormir a noite INTEIRA (entre 10-12h). Tem sido uma maravilha dormir bem, ela tem estado de bom humor durante o dia o q ajuda o resto da familia a ficar feliz, neh?!

Happy Valentines Day!

Here is our cutie pie this morning wearing her valentines gifts that her cousin Thomas gave her! We hope everyone will have a great day! I know I will cuz my love came home yesterday so we get to spend the day together! YEY!

Aqui está nossa fofura usando os presenter q o priminho Thomas deu pro Valentines Day (que nao é só dia dos namorados como no Brasil, eh pra todo mundo!). Aproveitando pra dejesar a todos aqueles que estão comemorando esse dia um Happy Valentines Day! O meu vai ser ótimo porque meu amor veio pra casa ontem então vamos passar o dia juntos! EBA!

4 months!

Our little girl just keeps growing! She turned 4 months last week and we can't believe how many things she can do! She's been sitting up pretty much on her own for a few weeks, but now she can hold herself up a lot longer. She can also grab toys and put them (and everything else that ends up in her hands) in her mouth. She rolls over all the time and once she was laying on her back and when I look back she was on her belly! She loves talking and making funny noises and now she learned to scream, which is not so fun. Whenever she gets frustraded or upset, or tired, she starts screaming at the top of her lungs...and I don't know how to teach her not to do it... so it's frustrating sometimes, because the only thing that stops that is me holding her, which means not being able to do much else! But other than that she's been great! She's been sleeping almost through the whole night, except for one night feeding which I'm trying to eliminate, but total she gets about 10h of sleep! She also takes good naps during the day, and it's still eating every three hours, sometimes she goes four hours! We're still in Rexburg and Bryan is still in Rock Springs. He just finished training and now he's working for real...not the most exciting thing for him to say the least, but I'm 'so thankful for him to be taking such good care of our family! I'm also still loving to read books, it's pretty much all I wanna do...I just finished reading The Host, by Stephenie Meyer and I really liked it! Now I'm reading some books that Kami suggested...I started reading Ugliges by Scott Weterfeld and I'm liking it too! Thanks Kami for the ideas, I'm gonna try and read all of them! And for now life's just pretty much it!

E a nossa menininha continua crescendo! Semana passada ela completou 4 meses e é incrível tudo q ela já consegue fazer. Tudo q ela pega vai direto pra boca e ela adora brincar com todos os brinquedinhos dela! Ela já se senta sozinha fazem algumas semanas, mas agora se segura bem mais. Ela adora rolar qdo está de barriga pra baixo e uma vez jah ateh rolou qdo estava de costas! Nem precisa dizer q ela adora falar, faz caras e bocas e até aprendeu a gritar, o q eu não gosto muito. Quando ela fica frustrada ou braba por qualquer motivo ela começa a gritar e nao para mais! Só se eu pego ela no colo, e daí nao consigo fazer mais muita coisa. Mas ela está ótima! Dorme quase a noite inteira, a não ser por uma mamada de madrugada q estou tentando eliminar, mas fora isso ela dorme umas 10h. E eu continuo na minha fase de ler livros...acabei de terminar de ler The Host de Stephenie Meyer e gostei mto, agora estou lendo uns livros q minha amiga Kami recomendou, e estou curtindo tb. Fazia mto tempo q eu não lia nada, finalmente peguei o gosto de novo e tem sido mto bom! Eu ainda estou morando em Rexburg, Idaho e o Bryan terminou o treinamento e agora esta trabalhando pra valer...ele não está gostando mto...mas logo logo ele acostuma melhor com a nova rotina e td mais! E por enquanto nossa vida esta assim!

We got to see Daddy again over the weekend...now every time time together is precious!

Again I have been slacking on our blog, but I have a really good excuse this time. I've been finally reading the Twiling series and I have not been able to put it down for a whole week, I finished the last one yesterday and I loved it! I knew that it would be that way, so I waited until I had plenty of free time to just go for it. I'm pretty impressed with myself with how fast I read them, but it was too good to put it down! Now I'm looking for other good books to keep up my thirst for reading! ANY IDEAS?

Two weeks ago Tiffany and I got to go down to Rock Springs to visit Bryan for a few days. It was a really long trip, specially for Tiffany and she had a hard time adjusting to the hotel room, but she LOVED being with her dad. She's been having some stranger anxiety lately with people but I'm sure glad she doesn't have that with her dad, specially after being away from him for a while. She loves to just stare at him and then engages in the longest conversation...like she's trying to catch him up on what's been going on with her life. Then Friday Bryan got to come up for the weekend and she had even more fun with him being home. She's so much more calm when he's around and I get so much more done...it was sure a fun weekend!

So here I am trying to catch up with what happened for the holidays! I'm now officially a stay at home mom so I haven't had much time for anything...just trying to adapt being alone with Tiffany all day. Bryan got a job down in Wyoming working for Halliburton and until he can find us a place to live down there I'm here in Rexburg! We don't see each other very much at all, and that really sucks, specially because Tiffany is growing so fast and learning so many things everyday that he doesn't get to see. But it is for a short period of time, and then we'll be together again! His schedule will still be crazy, but at least we'll get to see each other everyday! So if anyone is around Rexburg and wants to hang out...I'm up for anything to not stay at home all day!

But Christmas was so much fun! Christmas Eve we spent with my sister-in-law's family and the food was just delicious! Then on Christmas day it was just our family here at my house, we got to open gifts and watch Elf...it was just really special to be able to have my parents around for Tiffany's 1st Christmas! Bryan got me a computer since mine broke down and I needed something to do while at home all by myself! I loved it! Tiffany of course got tons of stuff from everybody, including that little book that she's managed to hold on that picture...so cute!

On the 30th was my b-day and Bryan had already gone back to work, but I had my family and Mathew and Barbara over for a carrot cake...it didn't look very good, but tasted delicious! Tiffany was also celebrating her 3rd month...I can't believe how fast time goes by...she's SO BIG and so smart...she amazes me everyday with the new things she can do! She is the only thing that's been keeping me from breaking down for having bryan gone for so long!
On the 31st my parents left to go back to Brasil...it was really sad seeing them say goodbye specially to Tiffany...they got so attached to her and now we don't even know when they'll get to see her again, but it was the best thing in the world to have them around...specially my mom for all those months! I know I couldn't have done it without her! We had a great time together and got a lot closer!

But for as sad as I was with everything, I still wanted to celebrate the New Year...2008 was one of the most memorable years of my life, so many great things happened that I wanted to end it right! We had a party over at a friend's house with delicious food, music, friends and even champagne (without alcohol of course!)...it was way fun!

And this was my end of the year...I'm now at home full time and have actually been ejoying it! This is the first Fall semester that I don't go to school and it feels good...I'm just glad to be done and to have Tiffany now to take care of!
